Now that we’ve got our niche proven and some basic package ideas we need to reach out to prospects.
We’ll approach them with our most basic (low cost) packages as an entry into our eco-system.
The prompts included will help us generate personalised messages rapidly based off their current web presence.
We’re going to combine:
to generate outreach emails and social media messages.
We’ll do this using ChatGPT to pull everything together from our input sources to rapidly build in personalisation.
Here’s the prompt:
Act as a cold outreach expert
For my social media marketing agency
that focuses on niche: [niche]
Prepare cold outreach messaging for my business.
The prospects details are as follows:
[copy/paste info from prospect's website, blog or social media account]
Message 1, introduction + seeking to talk to more people in the industry. Subtly compliment an element of their business. CTA to connect
Message 2, ask if can assist. Focus on my foundational and first level (awareness) package. Benefits for client. CTA to own website.
[Foundational and awareness package details]
Message 3
Fully outline package details and how to get started. CTA to reply.
For the outputs below I put in the details from our previous Parts as well as this London based nutritionist’s website. You can either copy/paste information about the prospect or if using web-enabled Chat GPT add in the web address so that information can be collected.
In the example below Chat GPT correctly identified the prospect’s “holistic” approach makes sure to include it.
This is the first of three emails that Chat GPT created for this one prospect.
These can be adapted for reaching out on X, LinkedIn, Instagram or whichever platform makes sense for the prospect.
As always if the tone is off simply tell Chat GPT. Don’t expect the first pass to be perfect!
Your job is now to find prospects and to consistently process and send out these messages.
To start you can use Chat GPT, Google and social media like LinkedIn to generate prospect lists. This can be outsourced to a sales and marketing company at a later date once your revenue is at the sufficient level.
The above prompt will check written information on websites and social media accounts and use it to personalise outreach.
However, because we’re dealing with social media we also want to be able to use graphical reviews as a way to open doors with potential clients.
Here’s a prompt:
Review the attached social media account
Give me 5 specific suggestions for improvement of the visible elements. Do not provide advice on anything not visible.
Make sure the advice is not general but instead specific to the image
Then provide ChatGPT with a screenshot of the prospect’s social media account.
I like to grab the main header element but you can also screenshot posts if the visual aspects are more important. Use your judgement here.
Unfortunately we can’t just give a profile web address as Chat GPT is blocked from reading these by most social media networks. A screenshot still gets us good information.
Here is a screenshot of the X account of the prospect from the previous examples:
When fed into ChatGPT along with the prompt we get an analysis of the prospect’s X header.
Feed this information into your email scripts above to increase personalisation and to immediately give actionable advice for the prospect.
Now you’ve got the basics for highly personalised cold outreach.
I suggest hitting 10+ prospects with this approach every day - either by email or via social media. Ideally both.
We could automate this a lot more and hit thousands of prospects. However we’re opting for a quality over quantity approach instead. Smaller numbers but far more personal.
