We’ve got a basic niche and have tested out a freelance version of the offer.
Now let’s spin up some service packages for our fully fledged social media marketing agency.
Having a range of packages is critical for structuring your business, even you are not deploying them all immediately.
I’ve designed the prompt below to full structure your business offering.
It includes a foundational “getting started” low cost package that we use to get clients start. It’s a one off, lower cost offering so we can prove our chops.
The subsequent retainer packages are in the order that social media marketing should be done:
I’ve structured the packages so that each can be deployed for a client one at a time. See the below output for an example as it’s easier to understand in context.
Using our previously decided upon niche we’ll ask ChatGPT to structure our service packages with this prompt:
Act as a social media marketing agency
My niche is [niche details]
Design four social media marketing packages
All three should focus on simplicity, results, scalability.
In order the packages should focus on
i) foundations
ii) awareness
iii) lead capture
iv) conversion to sales
These packages move from lower cost to higher cost, with results increasingly revenue driven.
Provide in a tabular form:
package name, tagline, description, results, indicative ricing per month except foundations which is one off
The example below uses “nutritionists in the UK” as the niche. Provide as much detail as possible here for best results.
Each package focuses on a specific need - awareness, lead capture and the sales. This is not only the sensible way to use social media for marketing but it also gives you a smooth upsale route from package to package.
Make sure to compare these prices to competitors so you are neither too expensive nor too cheap. Too cheap is just as bad and will corrode trust!
Each package is naturally more expensive than the last as they become more and more revenue focused.
You’ll also have strong pricing anchors in place here. If a client says that they want the sales focused package (the final package) you can say that the other work is required as well - combining everything in one package at a discount.
As well as having basic structure from awareness to lead capture to sales that you can present your client as a natural progression pathway we can include upgrades within each package.
I like to use the good, better, best model here.
Use this prompt directly under your current table of packages:
Apply the good, better, best model to each of the packages.
For columns give package name, good variant details, better variant details, best variant details
For each variant give a name, additional benefits, additional pricing.
Now we’re armed with a set of packages we’ll begin outreach in earnest in the next Part.
